Chicken In Wine Sauce: 2 to 2 1/2 lb. chicken 1/4 lb. butter 1 cup chopped onions 1/2 lb. mushrooms 1 clove garlic 1/4 cup unsifted flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. thyme leaves 1 can chicken broth 2 chicken bouillon cubes 1 cup sauterne wine dash of soy sauce 1. Brown chicken in butter. Remove from pan. 2. Add onion, garlic and mushrooms - saute for 5 minutes. 3. Combine flour, salt, pepper, and thyme - stir into onion mixture. 4. Gradually stir in broth, bouillon, and soy sauce. 5. Boil - then stir in wine. 6. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. 7. Serve with noodles or dumplings.
